All things come to those who wait

All things come to those who wait.  Waiting for the verdict on my job application with WGLC.  It is one of those deep spiritual questions, how much does God intervene in the works of men.  Am I right or wrong for the job and who decides.  It seems unlikely that God would often intervene.  It might be that our own tenacity, a gift of God, works more for us than fate or fortune.  How well did I prepare, how good is my self image.  If God is not going to intervene then what of prayer?   I think that there is a right or best man for the job.  I must muse more.  What of Ester?  Very definitely a divine intervention, or perhaps man's intervention made divine by strength of character and dire circumstances that called for unusual acts.  I am going to think more on this.
